Buying Overseas

Many of our clients take the opportunity when buying a new boat to do what we call a 'Tourist Delivery. They collect their new boat at the commissioning port, avoiding immediate shipping and duty expenses and sail the Mediterranean. Some choose to spend a few years to sail home; some choose to winter the boat in the Med, return home for the summer and fly back to the boat again in the NZ winter. The options are endless.

We take the mystery out of buying a boat offshore, we do it every day!

Sail Your Boat Home

The cost of shipping presents a great emotive bargaining opportunity - you could transfer that expense to a Holiday Fund and enjoy your boat in locations you may never otherwise get to.

  • Buying in Europe -Take the time to explore the cultures and history of the Mediterranean. By the time you've finished cruising the Mediterranean you'll have the experience and confidence to make the passage across the Atlantic to the Caribbean. From there it's a hop skip and jump to Panama, through the canal and then follow the trade winds across the Pacific; Tahiti, Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu, Noumea and onwards.

At Yachtfinders Global we not only find the perfect boat for you, we can advise and assist with delivery options. For more information on our Buying Overseas services click here

A Tourist Delivery with you at the helm is a real option and an experience many of our clients choose to take advantage of. It's how dreams come true.
