Absolute 48 Coupe

The Absolute 48 Coupe is the first model in the new Coupe’ Series range from the trend-setting Italian shipyard. Generally known for sporty, nimble performance, the sport yacht design has traditionally focused on speed and handling while sacrificing true comfort throughout the vessel. Absolute designers aren’t under the same, ordinary constraints as other boat builders, however, and are able to create solutions with freedom. Welcome to the express cruising yacht re-invented.

The focus of the 48 Coupe is for the enjoyment of the owner and guests no matter what area of the boat is being used. As with most sport yachts, the cockpit area is the centrepiece of the vessel and is entirely designed to encourage socializing. Unlike other competitor boats in this class, the furniture is not fixed and there are no barriers or obstructions. This freedom gives owners the ability to arrange their cockpit how they want it, as needed or desired. A cockpit sunshade extends from the hardtop, as well, providing shade in the seating area.

Also, new for a cockpit design of a sports coupe is the transparent barriers farthest aft which help to accentuate the views of your destination. Two teak steps starboard side lead to the wide swim platform which is an excellent sunbathing area at the water’s edge or allows for easy entry into the water for activities.

Moving forward from the cockpit to the salon through two large, glass doors, there are multiple eye-striking characteristics about its interior. Most importantly, the massive picture windows that envelop the entire main deck interior allow in plenty of light and provide exceptional, unobstructed views. Some of these windows are even electrically operated and open, allowing a cool breeze to ventilate the salon.

The high ceilings accent an intriguing new feature, solar panels on the hardtop that can be seen through designed openings and allow in overhead natural light. The solar panels fit are part of Absolute’s ongoing strategy to continue to reduce the carbon footprint of every model, as well as its shipyard. The solar panels are made of flexible monocrystalline silicon and are installed with insulating double-glazed panels for protection.

An open galley is a portside upon entering the salon, a convenient space to allow for easy serving to guests on the cockpit or to the interior dining space. There is ample seating to enjoy the views or converse on both sides and the main deck becomes one large platform when the cockpit doors are open. The ergonomic helm station is farthest forward on the main deck and offers unprecedented technology. As an option on the 48 Coupe, owners will be able to take advantage of Volvo’s Assisted Docking technology which completely takes the stress out of tricky docking situations.

Heading below deck, there are three voluminous staterooms with two heads. In each cabin, the ceilings are high and there are windows letting in natural light. You will never feel cramped inside the 48 Coupe’s lower deck. The master stateroom is midship with its own private head offers exceptional comfort, particularly for a boat of this size. A queen berth is in the VIP cabin placed in the bow of the boat and side-by-side bunks are starboard side in the layout. All accommodations offer high levels of livability and rejuvenation after a long day of playing in the sun.

The Absolute 48 Coupe will come standard with Volvo D6 IPS 650 engines that are quiet, reliable, and offer better performance.
