Anyone who’s brought a large boat into a tight berth with the wind pushing the wrong way knows the feeling.

Moreover, with IPS joystick control, manoeuvring becomes much more intuitive.

You can move the boat sideways, rotate it and make small corrections without the traditional juggling act at the helm.

However, it doesn’t replace good seamanship, but it certainly makes life easier. And anything that makes owners more confident using their boat is a good thing in my book.
