Reed announces one-off exclusive exhibitor benefits for 2020 Cannes Yachting Festival

Free-of-charge access kits, discounts and late cancellations available if owners refuse to allow boats to be displayed – just some of the special arrangements in place for 2020 event

The organiser of the Cannes Yachting Festival, Reed Exhibitions, has announced what it describes as two new and exceptional policies exclusively for the 2020 edition to benefit all exhibitors.

”We have decided to offer the full access kit for the festival, which you would normally pay for, free of charge, to thank you for standing by us and provide our support in these difficult times,” reads a statement sent out on Friday afternoon. ”The kit includes e-invitations for your customers, your exhibitor badges and “Life on board” bracelets for your crews. If you have already ordered these products, the corresponding amounts will be deducted from your final invoice. We will also save your new orders without adding these items to the invoice.”

The 2020 Cannes Yachting Festival will be held from September 8-13 at the Vieux Port and Port Canto in Cannes.

For customers in the Vieux Port, each brand is entitled to cancel an in-water boat (“no show”) if the owner has refused to release the boat for the period of the festival. A credit will be issued for the 2021 session, providing that the site exhibits as many boats as in 2020.

The number of linear metres invoiced in 2020 is also being capped at the number invoiced in 2019.

For Port Canto customers, 2019 discounts will be maintained, (10% for exhibitors exclusively in the Sailing Area – 30% for exhibitors in both the Sailing Area and the Vieux Port). No conditions apply to the number of boats and m² over and above those applied in 2018.
